The 5th annual Great American Boxcar Festival!
Details including lineup and ticket sales coming soon!
Harestock started in 2008. Ben Morris and the Great American Boxcar Chorus decided to host a day of music and friends. What started as a modest endeavor quickly turned into an exciting event.
Fast-forward to present days and you will see that Harestock has quickly grown into one of Texas' most rapidly-growing and anticipated premiere festivals. Over 80 artists have graced the Harestock stages. Every year promises new and exciting additions from the year before!
In 2009, Harestock changed formats and was billed as a charity benefit. Harestock is a 100%, non-profit event. Since 2009, over $10000 has been donated to very deserving causes including Ready For Texas Relief Fund, Twin City Mission - Youth & Family Services, BACA (Bikers Against Child Abuse), and Texas Tunes For Troops. Also, in 2010, Harestock introduced a coat, blanket, and canned food drive to be donated to local shelters and food banks. These drives were a huge success that will become a continuing fixture for Harestocks to come!
The goals of Harestock are simple.
- To raise as much money for very deserving causes.
- To promote amazing talent and original music.
At Harestock, The music takes center stage (whichever stage that may be!) In 2010, Harestock boasted over 14 hours of music, on 3 stages, including 35 artists and bands. Such Harestock artists in the past have included Adam Carroll, Mark Jungers, Big John Mills, John Evans Band, Sideshow Tramps, Mike Ethan Messick, Andrea Marie, Slow Rollin Lows, Luke Adair, Tres Womack, Granger Smith, Mary Charlotte, Rodney Parker, Mark David Manders...The list goes on and on! The most amazing part is that these artists continue to play Harestock free of charge. Harestock artists donate their time and music for our cause. They are truly outstanding people!
Make plans now to be in College Station on August 19, 2012! It will be an event you will not want to miss!
